Renewable Energy Goes Big in Texas

They say that everything’s bigger in Texas, and when it comes to energy, this typically would apply to big oil. However, Texas is making a name for itself as a major implementer of renewable energy sources, particularly wind energy.

Along with this focus on wind, electric cars are increasingly being incentivized in the state. This is largely because Texas is one of the only four states that does not impose regulations on EV charging—something that has made it an attractive hotspot for power generation company NRG Energy.

Called “Freedom Stations,” NRG will soon be installing quick charging stations in several locations around Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth.
