Environmental Benefits

GE's Waukesha 275GL+ natural gas engines produce lower greenhouse gas emissions based on a 1.2% or greater fuel efficiency advantage relative to comparable natural gas engines. In one application, one 16V 275GL+ engine operating at the same horsepower as a competitive engine can avoid the emission of over 1,900 metric tons of CO2-equivalent per year relative to a comparable natural gas engine, equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions of over 380 cars on US roads.

Operating Benefits

GE's Waukesha 275GL+ natural gas engines can compress more gas than comparable natural gas engines due to a 2% advantage in horsepower. In one application, one 16V 275GL+ engine operating at full load can increase throughput by 920 million standard cubic feet per year, creating additional annual revenue of $3.6 million at a wellhead gas price of $3.90 per 1000 ft3, relative to comparable, fully-loaded gas engines.
