GE's Quadramatic™ Motor System has the highest efficiency for dual pinion, fixed speed mill applications in the mining industry. Compared to induction or gearless technologies, a 9,000 HP Quadramatic Motor System consumes approximately 4.5 million kWh less electricity per year, avoiding the emission of approximately 2,700 metric tons of CO2 on the U.S. grid. This is equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions of more than 500 passenger cars on U.S. roads.
