Environmental Benefits

GE's Jenbacher J920 9.5MW spark-ignited gas engine is designed to have the highest electrical efficiency in the 10 MW class. A J920 engine operating at 48.7% electrical efficiency--over 1.5% higher than comparable gas engines--is designed to avoid the emission of approximately 1,500 metric tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions of approximately 800 cars on European roads.

Operating Benefits

GE's Jenbacher J920 9.5MW spark-ignited gas engine is designed to have the highest electrical efficiency in the 10 MW class. A J920 engine operating at 48.7% electrical efficiency--over 1.5% higher than comparable gas engines--is designed to avoid the consumption of more than 6.4 million kWh of natural gas per year, saving over Euro 217,000 annually at a natural gas price of Euro 0.034 per kWh.
