With its sleep mode activated during evenings and weekends, a GE High Efficiency MR system can save a total of 60,000 kWh per year, or 34% per machine per year as compared to prior GE technology. This can avoid the emission of a total of 34 metric tons of CO2 per year on the US grid, equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions of 6 cars on US roads.
