GE’s HabiTEQ™ is an end-to-end energy monitoring and control system that enables property owners to increase the energy efficiency of their buildings compared to those without automation solutions. It optimizes the regulation of energy used by heating, lighting, ventilation, and building electrical infrastructure and increases energy awareness through reporting of consumption.
GE's HabiTEQ™ hybrid automation system combines wired and wireless monitoring and control technologies designed to enable energy efficiency improvements in European homes and commercial buildings without automation systems. For a typical 5,000 m2 office building utilizing energy control systems as defined by EU building efficiency standards, HabiTEQ™ is designed to reduce energy consumption by up to 13% on lighting and up to 20% on heating, or a total of over 191,000 kWh per year. This can avoid the emission of approximately 42 metric tons of CO2 on the European grid and from a building heating system, equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions of about 18 passenger cars on EU roads.
