GE's Zoneline® air conditioners with heat pump technology are between 13-22% more energy efficient than the U.S. Department of Energy standard for this technology. When heating and cooling a 100-unit hotel using a GE Zoneline® air conditioners with a 17% energy efficiency improvement, CO2 emissions of approximately 27 metric tons can be avoided on the U.S. grid per year, equivalent to the CO2 emissions of more than 74,000 passenger car-miles driven on U.S. roads.
